Pure speed on skis returns to the Grau Roig sector in Grandvalira, host to two of the World Cup Speed Skiing trials

Extreme speed on skis comes to Grandvalira for another year running. The Riberal slope in the Grau Roig sector will host two trials of the World Cup Speed Skiing 2021 event.

The best male and female speed skiing professionals in the world will take part in the competition organised by the International Ski Federation (FIS).

Besides the fight for victory, there is the challenge to beat the speed record for the slope, which the Swiss skier, Philippe May set in 2017 with a speed of 199.56 km/h.
The 900 m long Riberal slope, with an elevation difference of 200 m and a spectacular launch tower of 10 m, has a maximum gradient of 74% and a braking zone of 450 m.

Location and dates: Riberal Slope, Grau Roig (Grandvalira), 3 and 4 March 2021.
