Winter cuisine events - La Massana

Local products are the focus of the latest edition of this gastronomic event in the restaurants of La Massana.

Andorran gastronomy combines traditional high mountain recipes with the creativity of the country's chefs and restauranteurs to offer enticing menus all year round. The La Massana winter cuisine events, from 1 to 29 February, are the main annual event for anyone who wants to get to know more about Andorra's cuisine.

The colder months are the perfect time to try trinxat de muntanya (a traditional mashed potato dish) with Andorran truffles, as well as other innovative dishes prepared using local products such as pork, one of the main ingredients in the winter season, with sausages from the country and various traditional recipes. Pulses, vegetables and beef also play an important role.

Along with menus showcasing local products, at these events you'll also be able to sample specialities from further afield, such as calçots (a type of scallion typical at this time of year), which you can try up until the end of March.
