SkyRace Comapedrosa brings together the best international runners and the sport’s most promising youngsters to contest the Youth World Championship.

The Andorran stage of the SkyRunning series has consolidated its place among the global elite of mountain races.  It is the seventh time that Arinsal and Valls del Comapedrosa Nature Park have been chosen to host this prestigious international competition. On 30 July the sport’s best athletes will take on the challenge of SkyRace Comapedrosa’s demanding route. Male and female competitors will tackle an ascent of 21 km up highly technical mountain terrain, on a route that will take them to a height of 2,972 m and the peak of Comapedrosa, the highest mountain in Andorra. In total, the route incorporates 2,279 m of altitude gain.

New for this year, the sporting programme for this intense weekend of SkyRunning will include the Youth World Championship, where the most promising youngsters in the sport will contest the Sky and KV categories, according to their classification.

Like every year, amateur athletes will be able to take part in the Arinsal SkyRace, which boasts a route of some 15 km and an altitude gain of 1,415 m.

For the second year in a row, the race forms part of the ISF’s Migu Run Skyrunner®World Series calendar, and results will count towards the Skyrunner®National Series Spain, Andorra & Portugal.
