Scientific Photography

From November 14 to January 26

The Reig Factory Museum offers the opportunity to discover the fascinating world of scientific imagery.

The images are an essential tool in the progress made in science, industry and education as this advancement is mostly based on visual observations. Therefore, scientific photography is not a speciality, but rather it is a whole universe of techniques.

The work of the biologist, Luis Monje, which is on exhibition at the Reig Factory Museum, will allow you will discover up to fifteen of the thirty techniques used in the world of science to reflect  images. Additionally, these images have a dual role: to illustrate observations and at the same time, make it possible to capture numerous phenomena that for various reasons, such as their size, the lack of light, their speed or slowness, are very often invisible to the naked eye.

Luis Monje is one of the few scientific specialists in the world who has dedicated his career to studying, practising and disseminating these techniques.

Place and dates: The Reig Factory Museum, until 26th January 2020. Free admission.
