The programme for Ordino’s music festival is exclusively centred on classical music.
The second edition of Ordino Clàssic, the music event that has taken up the baton from the Narciso Yepes Festival, is exclusively centred on classical music, in the widest sense of the term. The National Auditorium will be the setting for two evenings starring Ara Malikian and the National Classical Orchestra of Andorra (ONCA). The parish church of Sant Corneli and Sant Cebrià will host the third concert featuring 5Andcordes.
The prestigious and popular violinist Ara Malikian will open the event on 10th October, presenting his new album Royal Garage, where he takes a journey through garages in the major cities with which he has had some kind of relationship over the course of his career. National Auditorium, 9 pm.
In November, the group 5AndCordes will present the evening ‘Classics from the 17th to the 21st centuries’, a collection of pieces in different styles from different periods. Parish church, Sunday 10th November, 12 pm.
This year’s Ordino Clàssic will close with the traditional and highly anticipated New Year’s concert ‘Waltzes, polkas and much more’, presented by the National Classical Orchestra of Andorra (ONCA), conducted by Francesc Prat. National Auditorium, Wednesday 1st January 2020, 7 pm.
