24 from January - 12 from March
The government's new exhibition hall ARTALROC hosts Jaume Riba and Àlex Tena's photography exhibition, Madriu 8.8, until the 12th of March.
Both photographers Jaume Riba and Àlex Tena are lovers of Vall del Madriu. With their inseparable cameras around their necks they have spent great time and covered long distances to capture its history, values and day and night-time beauty throughout the entire year. At Madriu 8.8 they offer us a very personal and subjective panoramic view of what this valley has given them, in their forty-fold collection of black and white images especially selected for the exhibition.
Take advantage of this unique opportunity to discover one of the most genuinely preserved sites of Andorra's natural heritage. Also, remember that Vall del Madriu, Perafita, Claror was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the cultural landscape category in 2004. Interestingly, the exhibition's title Madriu 8.8 refers to how the valley's territory occupies almost 9% of Andorra's entire geography.
Along with the exhibition, a series of activities have been organised in relation to both photography and Vall del Madriu.
