Ítem Jazz - CAEE

From 22-10-2020 to 21-11-2020

The exhibition shows images from 20 years of the Andorra International Jazz Festival, from the perspective of Joan Burgués Martisella’s lens.

The Andorra/Escaldes-Engordany International Jazz Festival was a key focal point for fans of the genre. For 20 years, it hosted the most renowned artists from the international jazz world.

Andorra was the country and Escaldes-Engordany the setting for a one-of-a-kind event that Joan Burgués Martisella captured with his camera, from the first to the final edition of the competition.

‘Ítem Jazz’ features around 90 photos, taken over 20 years, in which Martisella captured everything from intimate moments to flashes of genius from varied and well-established artists including Ray Charles, Horace Silver, B. B. King, Lionel Hampton, Tete Montoliu, Pat Metheny, Fats Domino and Miles Davis.
