The Christmas celebrations at Escaldes-Engordany offer a range of activities for everyone.
Switch on the lights and discover the imaginary worlds of Christmas
Follow the illuminated robots and help them bring the light of Christmas. Go along with them to Plaça Coprínceps where the switching on will take place with children’s entertainment, dancing, magical creatures, balloons, confetti and chocolate with churros for everyone!

From 29 November to 7 January, Escaldes-Engordany will be a winter scene full of imaginary worlds. Discover them when the lights are switched on.
From gingerbread cookies at Parc de la Mola and the traditional Christmas with the Christmas wish mailbox at the playground on Avinguda de les Nacions Unides; from the nutcrackers who guard the lights in Plaça Coprínceps and the Christmas carols in Plaça Santa Anna, to the overhead lights on Avinguda Carlemany and the historical collection of over 40 years of Christmas lights on Avinguda del Fener, don’t miss these and other imaginary worlds, with the lights switched on every evening at 5:30 pm as part of Christmas in Escaldes-Engordany.
Playmobil Universe
Discover this display at the Escaldes-Engordany Art Centre (CAEE), with activities and workshops scheduled that will let you explore the amazing world of these iconic toys.

Gospel night
The Parish Council’s gospel concert has become a popular yuletide favourite. This year’s edition will feature the “The Campbell Brothers” group, as part of the 20th “Greats of Gospel” Festival. Saturday, 7 December at 9:30 p.m. in the church of Sant Pere Màrtir. Ticket price: € 10. Tickets available at Escaldes-Engordany Tourist Office.
Living Nativity Scene
Escaldes-Engordany has restored its tradition of putting on a Living Nativity Scene. This year marks the sixth edition of the event, and features more than 120 actors continuing with the fine tradition first established by Esteve Albert over 50 years ago. The performances will take place in the upper area of the parish, with two shows on both 14 December. Tickets available at Escaldes-Engordany Tourist Office.
Father Christmas is coming to town
Father Christmas will parade through the streets of Escaldes-Engordany on Christmas Eve from 5 p.m. His final destination is Plaça Coprínceps, where he will collect all of the children’s letters.
Midnight mass
Midnight mass will take place on Christmas Eve in Sant Pere Màrtir Church at midnight. In keeping with tradition, attendees will be offered mulled wine and cake as they leave the church.
