Escaldes-Engordany is hosting the first edition of the Andorra Tango Festival, a competition celebrating the passion and art of this Argentine dance.
The Andorra Tango Experience will offer a varied programme of activities for all audiences. Milongas (tango dances) for aficionados, exhibitions of various professional couples with live music from the Argentine Orchestra Elemental Sport. There will also be open introductory classes taught by professional dancers, as well as dance sessions with expert DJs.
In 2009, UNESCO declared Argentine tango intangible cultural heritage of humanity as it contributes to diversity and intercultural dialogue, which make up its roots.
Place and dates: Various venues in Escaldes-Engordany, from 12 to 14 April 2024.
