First edition of this star event

La Massana, Starlight Tourist Destination and Reserve, invites you to the Andorra Comapedrosa Astronomy Festival on 7 and 8 July.

Observing stars, planets and constellations in the night sky is the core activity of the event, which will take place at different locations in the parish.

2023 Programme
Friday 7/07
9.30 p.m. - Astrophotography outing, starting from the Arinsal station car park. Arinsal.

Saturday 8/07
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Children’s astronomy workshops. Pl. de les Fontetes, La Massana.
Talks in the Fontetes theatre. La Massana:
12 midday - “Life on other worlds, exoplanets”. Dr. Kike Herrero, astrophysicist and researcher at the IEEC.
12.45 p.m. - “Geopolitics in space”. Joan Anton Català, astrophysicist and quantum chemist.
Tastes of G-Astronòmics, all day.
5 p.m. to 7 p.m. - Children’s astronomy workshops. Surf Arinsal car park.
7 p.m. Live astronomy show “One hundred thousand and one stars”. Surf Arinsal car park
10.45 p.m. - Lights off in Arinsal. Surf car park, with live music with Alexandre Bonanit.
11 p.m. - Observation through telescopes and route through constellations and their mythology. 
# Station 1: Three large telescopes with guides, Surf car park. Arinsal car park.
# Station 2: Route around the sky. Arinsal football ground. Showings: 11.15 p.m. (Spanish); midnight (Catalan) and 00.45 a.m. (Spanish-French). Registration €1.
