Discover the wonders of the Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley Protected Area, an UNESCO World Heritage site.

Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley is the jewel in the crown of our natural heritage and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the “Cultural Landscape” category. The Valley Gateway, the natural park’s visitor services office, has prepared a series of activities and workshops for lovers of nature and the environment.

This summer enjoy the splendour of the valleys and mountains that comprise this unique natural habitat, and sign up for one of our guided excursions and workshops: there are options for all ages!

*Workshops and Activities

  • Children's butterfly discovery workshop. July 7, departure from the La Plana bridge.
  • Dendrochronology workshop. July 25, at the Circuit de les Fonts (Escaldes-Engordany).
  • Mycology workshop for children. October 3 at the Portal de la Vall. With the collaboration of CENMA (Centre for Snow and Mountain Studies of Andorra). Limited places.

*Themed Excursions

  • Madriu-Perafita-Claror valley Day. Guided tour commemorating the 16th anniversary of the valley's inclusion in the World Heritage List. July 4th. Start tour on the Circuit de les Fonts. Free activity.
  • “Path of the Senses”. Night outing, July 16 at the Circuit de les Fonts (Escaldes-Engordany).
  • “The steel industry in the Madriu-Perafita-Claror valley”. Guided tour: July 18 from the Circuit de les Fonts (Escaldes-Engordany) to the Farga del Madriu. Free activity.
  • Theatrical outing entertained by the Cia. Andan-da-ra. For all audiences.

*The workshops and outings have a single price of 5 € for adults and are free of charge for children under 14 years. Children's workshops cost € 5 for children and are free of charge for companions
