This choreographer is one of the key figures in European contemporary dance

Throughout his distinguished international career, Nacho Duato has always managed to combine technical skill, musical sensitivity and deeply human stage presence in his choreographies. His way of understanding dance always starts from the body as a space for emotional expression. In his creations, movement is never gratuitous: it is idiom, it is breathing, it is thought. Each gesture builds a poetic story that connects directly with the viewer, without artifice, from the truth of the body on stage.

Music plays a central role in his creative universe. Duato enters into dialogue with the scores, listens to them, inhabits them and transforms them into movement, creating an inseparable fusion between sound and gesture. The result? Pieces of great visual and emotional strength, capable of spanning styles, eras and sensibilities. This show offers us the opportunity to immerse ourselves in his artistic universe: a space where beauty, fragility, energy and commitment coexist in harmony. It is an invitation to look at the body as a territory of memory, emotion and freedom.

With this proposal, the festival is reaffirming its desire to bring great creators of our time closer to the public and to turn dance into a living, shared and deeply human experience.

Nacho Duato Company

The Nacho Duato Company was formed with the noble mission of enriching Spain's dance offering and expanding job opportunities for young dancers.

One of the fundamental pillars of this young company is the revival of Nacho Duato's repertoire. His ballets are true gems that deserve to be preserved and shared with new generations of spectators and artists.

With this company, Duato is fulfilling his vision of embarking on national tours to bring the magic of dance to every corner of the country and reach a wider and more diverse audience.
