Pas de la Casa, the highest mountain pass in the Pyrenees, is some 30 km from the centre of Andorra la Vella. This village, in the parish of Encamp, has a population of 3,000. It is considered one of the most important shopping hubs in Andorra thanks to its wide variety of stores. It has a tourist office exclusively for customers, providing all kinds of useful information on Pas de la Casa. You'll find the office right next to the road to the French border.

How can they help you?

From Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the qualified staff at the office will provide all the information you need. They can suggest numerous ideas and places to see in Pas de la Casa, to ensure your days in this Andorran town are full of adventures and new experiences.

At the foot of the Grandvalira ski resort

If you have decided to spend a few days in Andorra, Pas de la Casa is ideal for skiing and activities in the snow. It is home to one of the oldest sectors of Grandvalira, the biggest ski resort in the Pyrenees.  Created in 1956, it is also one of the main points of entry to the resort. It has slopes for all levels, each offering a wide range of winter sports, as well as a snow garden for the kids. There are also two special circuits, the "Easy Way" and the "Fun Way", which cross the Pas de la Casa, Grau Roig and Encamp sectors on a route whose twists and turns cover different slopes and take from 3 to 5 hours to complete. Finally, there is the nocturnal snow tubing slope, which is open on Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays until 8 p.m. There is a wide range of activities to suit the whole family, including trips on snowmobiles and on snowshoes.

Pas de la Casa is also home to Europe's longest funicular, the Funicamp. Covering a distance of 6 km, the cable railway links the towns of Encamp with the Solanelles area of the ski resort, some 2,502 m above sea level. The funicular takes around 25 minutes to reach its destination.

Grau Roig, the sector bordering Pas de la Casa

Another of Grandvalira's most important sectors is Grau Roig, which continues on from Pas de la Casa. It also offers kilometres of skiable slopes for all levels, with numerous activities to enjoy with your friends and family. One of its never centres is Grandvalira Mountain Park, where you can go on snowshoe trips, build igloos or, if you like animals, you can even go mushing through the resort's forests.
