Flat, narrow trail that runs through the shady area of Encamp at a restful pace.
The entire route offers wonderful views of the village of Encamp and the peaks of Llevant. It is an ideal circuit for snowshoeing first-timers. At the end of the trail is Engolasters Lake, which is actually a dam reservoir used to generate electricity and supply some of Andorra’s towns and villages.
Take the road CS-220 towards Els Cortals d’Encamp. After 3 kilometres, turn right following the signs for Engolasters Lake. At the parking area continue on foot until you come to a metal gate.
Ascent time: 1 hr 05 min (outward)
Descent time: 1 hr 05 min (return)
Positive elevation change: 19 m
Negative elevation change: 18 m
