The descent is an easy route located in the middle of the Grandvalira resort, in the area of the Pla de les Pedres.
Start point: We can start in the village of Encamp on the Funicamp cable car or from any access point to the Grandvalira resort. It is in the area of el Pla de les Pedres between el Cubil and the Enrrador pass Funicamp arrival point. We will access the gulley by the northern ridge of the Alt del Cubil peak, which is easily accessible in a little under 1 hour.
Descent: We can do the descent by the most northern side, this is a wide face (1st) (S2.3 volo scale) (E1) that we can do without having to reach the peak, without great difficulty and with a gradient of between 35°-45° that allows us to make wide turns. The NE gulley no (2nd) is the one we show and the most interesting on this side as it starts from the peak itself and forms a funnel where we find a narrow passage or a small rock overhang that we have to overcome through a snow passage or with a jump of around 2 m to get over the cut; then the gulley becomes a corridor around 4-6m wide with a length of 200 m and a gradient of 45° which comes out onto the wide face that takes us to the side of the Cubil lake and the el Pla de les Pedres ski slopes.
Parking area: (42°32'7.54"N and 1°35'17.38"E).
