The descent of the les Abelletes peak is an easy route in Grandvalira.
Start point: Grau Roig ski resort car park or the village of el Pas de la Casa. We can get to this route from any point of the Grandvalira ski resort, but the best way is from el Pas de la Casa on the Font Negre ski lift or Abelletes chairlift, and if we are coming from Grau Roig, on the Pic Blanc ski lift. If we don’t want to use the lifts, we can get to the area from les Abelletes in the village of el Pas de la Casa. In either case, we will have to go for the Coll dels Isards mountain pass and follow the crest that leads us to the les Abelletes peak, 25 minutes northwards. Once at the peak and 2,600 m we will drop down a few metres to find the best entrance to the northern face, as it is full of stones and rocks and is not always clear.
Descent: A highly accessible route from the el Pas de la Casa or Grau Roig ski resorts. The conical northern side of this peak has good conditions, we just have to remember that it is a very rocky area and may be impracticable without a good snowfall. The descent starts at the top with a wide face that gradually narrows into a canyon. A constant gradient of some 40°-45°. Return to the village of el Pas de la Casa.
Parking area: (42°31'58.09"N and 1°42'1.36"E).
