The descent of the Alt del Griu by the northern corridor is an easy route with access from the Grandvalira ski slopes.
Start point: Access from the Funicamp in the village of Encamp or any access point to the Grandvalira slopes (Canillo, Tarter, Soldeu, Grau Roig and Pas de la Casa). From the Enrradort pass at an altitude of 2,447 m we will be drop to catch the NE ridge of the Alt del Griu from 2,300 m. The other option is to zigzag from the end of the road to els Cortals d'Encamp, an intermediate stop on the Funicamp and go back up the valley through the shade of the Meligar fields and lakes. An easy climb along the NE ridge to 2,740 m where we can see the northern corridor.
Descent: This is a long, wide corridor at the beginning that soon narrows and becomes more technical, with a constant gradient of around 45°. In the last part we might find a section with difficulty depending on the snow conditions. Arrival at the Funicamp intermediate stop.
