Andorra is full of thrills and surprises for visitors of all ages. And one of the best examples is undoubtedly the Tobotronc. This ride, in the Naturlandia adventure ecopark, has the honour of being the longest alpine toboggan run in the world. Do you dare to ride it?
An unbeatable toboggan run
Just imagine a ride that mixes speed with an adrenaline rush in the heart of an extraordinarily beautiful natural landscape. Well that's Tobotronc, and it's in Naturlandia. These are its stats: 5.3 km long and a total drop of 400 m, lasting nearly 10 minutes, depending on how fast you go. No other ride in the world can beat it. In fact, it's the world’s longest alpine toboggan run! It runs through the La Rabassa forest and every one of its bends provides a unique view of the surroundings and mountains of Andorra.
Of course, the dizzying drop is protected by the very best safety measures: the cars seat two people with safety belts and run on steel rails. A brake lever is also incorporated for riders to operate at any time to adjust the speed of their descent.
When and who can enjoy Tobotronc
Despite its breathtaking stats, the ride is designed for children and adults. The only requirement is height: riders have to be over 1.20 m tall. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
The ride is open all year round and is included in the price of the general ticket. In bad weather, Naturlandia can opt to close the run for safety reasons.
Naturlandia: tickets and offers for the ride
Naturlandia is open all year round with different ticket options: general, 2 x 1, accommodation packs and more. Prices vary depending on age, season (low or high) and other factors. If you are particular keen on enjoying the ride, it's worth knowing you can get on as many times as you like if you purchase a general park entrance ticket, which costs €22 from age 14 and above in low season (€28 in high season). Children's tickets cost €15 in low season and €20 in high season.
You can also buy specific, exclusive tickets for the ride: the price for one adult trip is €10 (€12 in high season), while children pay €6.50 (€8.50 in high season). If you choose a ticket just to visit the animal park, you won't be able to go on the toboggan, although it's in the same area: the sector at 2,000 m above sea level.
