Andorra la Vella and Escaldes-Engordany celebrate Carnival together, with a parade and troupe contest that attracts large crowds looking for fun.
The Caldea rock wall is on the second floor of the Caldea Spa Leisure Centre. It is indoor and its difficulty ranges from 4 to 8b.
The Caldea rock wall is managed by the commune of Escaldes-Engordany. It has a part with ropes (9 ways) and another formed by ceilings simulating grottoes. It presents various difficulties on the way up, depending on the area of the wall, and is suitable for all climbing levels. On each wall there is more than one route to extend the ways. There is a protruding way of variable difficulty (6b+ - 8a+), a boulder area protected with mattresses and a climbing school.
You have to pay to go in and it is open all year from Mondays to Fridays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., apart from Wednesdays, when it is open from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. (the timetables may vary depending on season).
