Like the other variants of the Tomb Lauredià route (short and medium), the start and end point for the long route is Plaça de la Germandat (42° 27’ 54.7128”, 1° 29’ 27.96”), in the heart of Sant Julià de Lòria. The 15-km circuit will take you to the villages of Auvinyà and Aixirivall. The route begins with a pronounced uphill section to Auvinyà, home to the Church of Sant Romà. Following the Solana trail, you’ll reach the Church of Sant Serni de Nagol, one of the most outstanding examples of Andorran Romanesque architecture. From this point, you can take in amazing views of the valley, with Sant Julià de Lòria at the bottom. Heading towards Aixovall, the Sant Martí trail takes you past the little chapel of the same name that stands on a cliff, literally clinging to the mountain. From the bottom of the valley, along the Rocafort trail, follow the Solana trail until it meets the Fontaneda trail, which takes you back to Sant Julià de Lòria.

The long Tomb Lauredià route runs along different types of trails, always signposted with the ‘Tomb Lauredià Llarg’ emblem. This is a considerably difficult route due to the significant elevation change (+/- 1,400 m) and its length (a full day's walk), with some sections that involve equipment and/or that are partially aerial. Suitable for people who are used to doing long mountain hikes.

A community hike along the Tomb Lauredià route takes place every year in Sant Julià de Lòria.
For your safety, we recommend doing all routes above 1,700 metres between the end of June and the end of September. However, if the weather and terrain conditions allow it, the season may extend from May to October.

You’ll find other routes to do in the Trails of Andorra Hiking Guide.
