The route starts at the end of the road to Ransol (after the village of the same name), alongside the Borda Marticella, were we will leave our car. The path is marked with three yellow spots (commune route). It is of medium difficulty and is done in about 4 hours. Along our way we will pass Querol lake and depending on the season we will find Pyrenean lilies and narcissus, the typical snow plant of the country.

We can come back the same way, although if we have more time and want to do more we can carry on to the Cabana Sorda lake where there is a hut of the same name with space for up to 20 people.

GPS location of the village of Ransol, in the parish of Canillo (42° 35' 3",1° 39' 4"). The Borda Marticella is at the end of the road.

For your safety, we recommend you do the routes at altitudes of over 1,700 metres between the end of June and the end of September. However, if the weather and terrain conditions allow it, the season may extend from May to October.

You will find further details of this and other routes in the Hiking guide Trails of Andorra.
