Different popular “castanyades” are held in Andorra for All Saints.
This route will take us through the Collada de Muntaner natural pass to the Catalan village of Ós de Civís, to the Serra d’Enclar,
We start the route to the Collada de Muntaner at the Casa Rull Museum in the village of Sispony, in La Massana. From here we will climb the asphalted road westwards to els Cortals de Sispony until we come to a crossroads where we take the path to the Bosc de les Carboneres. We leave the Bordes dels Fenerols behind and continue to climb for about a kilometre until we come to the els Cortals de Sispony nature hut.
From here the path becomes flatter and crosses the river Muntaner until it reaches a second point where the paths cross. We choose the one that goes to the Collada de Muntaner pass and climbs through a pine forest. We will follow the markings of the GRP until we reach the Collada de Muntaner, where we can enter the Catalan Valley of Os de Civís. We will continue the excursion on the northern side to crown the Pic d’Enclar.
The route starts in front of the Casa Rull museum in the village of Sispony, in the parish of La Massana (42° 31' 56",01° 30' 51").
For your safety, we recommend you do the routes at altitudes of over 1700 metres between the end of June and the end of September.
