Sorteny Valley has been shaped by glaciers, turning it into one of the most spectacular Alpine beauty spots in all of Andorra.
Sorteny was also Andorra's first ever protected nature area.
This natural space boasts hundreds of trails, each showcasing the valley's botanical richness, including 700 species of plants, 60 of which are endemic to the Pyrenees. Climbing up to Serrera peak or Picol l'Estanyó allows you to cross the valley and maybe even see some of the sixty types of birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles and insects that inhabit these mountains, as well as freshwater lakes.
Level of difficulty: low
Duration: 3 hours
For your safety, we recommend you do the routes at altitudes of over 1700 metres between the end of June and the end of September.
