This route crosses la Balma de la Margineda, which is considered the first human settlement in the Valleys of Andorra.
We will walk between large leaf oak trees, fraxinus, hazelnut trees and boxwoods. We will also find specimens of tree spurge (a species like a small palm tree), and of Scots elm, quite a rare variety. Crag martins nest at la Balma de la Margineda, and it is very easy to see reptiles, such as the ocellated lizard, the large psammodromus, the iberian lizard and the Montpellier snake.
