The Pic de Casamanya hiking route starts at the Ordino pass to the north through the Airola forest. The beginning of the path is marked by a steep climb that will take us to the Vaques mountain pass. We will continue to follow the three yellow marks to the Cap de l’Astarell, and the Llosers de Naudí, until we come to a small plain from where we can see the Pic de Casamanya. Can we continue climbing to enjoy the spectacular views offered by this peak located between the parishes of Canillo and Ordino.

From the top, we will be able to see the Estanyó and the Serrera peaks to the north, the l’Alt del Griu to the south east, the Pic de Carroi to the South West and the Pic de Comapedrosa to the west. What’s more, with a bit of luck we might see the odd vulture or bearded vulture flying over the summits.

The start of the Pic de Casamanya hiking route is at the top of the road to the Coll d’Ordino and the road to Montaup (42° 33' 21",1° 34' 21").

For your safety, we recommend you do the routes at altitudes of over 1,700 metres between the end of June and the end of September. However, if the weather and terrain conditions allow it, the season may extend from May to October.

You will find further details of this and other routes in the Hiking guide Trails of Andorra.
