The Camí del Coll de les Cases starts a little before the centre of Arinsal, at the fork we come to on the way to Mas de Ribafeta, were we will leave the car. Following the markings of the GR 11 (two horizontal stripes, white and red), we walk along the road to les Feixes (CS-510) until km 1, where we come to a signpost indicating the Camí de les Cases. It is of medium difficulty.

The route climbs up the gulley of the Coll de les Cases and then turns southwards zigzagging from Mas to the Contallops gulley. Further up, we come to a dry trunk in the middle of the path where we can stop to rest. After this the path climbs straight up for 35 minutes to the Coll de les Cases pass (alt. 1,954), and at this final point on our route we can enjoy the panoramic views of the parishes of La Massana and Ordino.

We come down the same way as we went up, or we can carry on along the GR 11 until the village of Arans in the parish of Ordino. If we choose this route we will have to plan transport to get back to Arinsal if we have parked our vehicles there.

The route starts a little before the village of Arinsal in the parish of La Massana (42º 34' 15.1572", 1º 29' 33.165").

For your safety, we recommend you do the routes at altitudes of over 1,700 metres between the end of June and the end of September. However, if the weather and terrain conditions allow it, the season may extend from May to October.

You will find further details of this and other routes in the Hiking guide Trails of Andorra.
