We start the route in the middle of village of Arinsal, were we take a cobbled path that starts in front of the cable car and passes through the village’s old quarter. We come to a mountain path which rises through the forest and pass the crossing point where there is a signpost.

We climb up the Costa de l’Avier gulley crossing meadows and dry stone walls until we come to the GRP, which we follow towards les Fonts. We leave the path that climbs to the Les Fonts hut to the right and carry on through a wood of mountain pine until the Font Podrida pass (alt. 2,060). From here, we start to go down towards the Pla de l’Estany and the mountain hut. We will take the GR-11 which goes down to the right and the Rec d’Areny narrow path towards the Borda de la Coruvilla and the Borda de les Agunes, where we cross a Canadian bridge. Further on we will come to a moving barrier and the start of a forest track, which we will take. At the end of the track, we cross the tunnel and carry on 1.5km along an asphalted road to the end of the route.

The start of this route is in the village of Arinsal, in the parish of La Massana (42° 34' 20",01° 29' 2").

For your safety, we recommend you do the routes at altitudes of over 1,700 metres between the end of June and the end of September. However, if the weather and terrain conditions allow it, the season may extend from May to October.

You will find further details of this and other routes in the Hiking guide Trails of Andorra.
