At Vallnord Pal-Arinsal the days are longer, thanks to the range of night-time activities the sector has to offer. There are a number of different options and ways to enjoy the snow at night – some of them quite unusual!
A laid-back option is yoga at an altitude of 2,200 metres, at Coll de la Botella restaurant, comprising a one-hour class of Kundalini yoga followed by a healthy, organic dinner. Or for something a little livelier, you could take a zumba class at the same restaurant, followed by an exquisite dinner. The zumba class is guided by an instructor and lasts for an hour; the workout is high-energy and offers a friendly atmosphere for those who attend. The classes are held on certain days during the ski season and run from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., with dinner being served at 9:00 p.m.
Vallnord also offers delicious dinners in the heart of the mountains under the light of the moon at Pla de la Cot Ski & Lounge restaurant. Or if you prefer, you can even learn how to prepare your own gourmet menu in an “express cooking” class with Chef Carles Flinch. The class starts at 6:00 p.m. and is held at Coll de la Botella restaurant. To round off the culinary offerings, another option is to take a Ratrac up to Xalet Iglú restaurant, where you can sample its superb à la carte dishes.
And if that wasn’t enough, in the Ordino-Arcalís sector you can take part in the “Vivac Experience”, the most adventurous of our night-time activities. The experience begins with a snow-shoe or mountain-skiing excursion up to one of the peaks in the skiable area, where you will pitch your tent and spend the night there under the stars.
