We set off from Andorra la Vella and Escaldes-Engordany to the Valles del Nord in the north-west of the country, formed by the villages of La Massana and Ordino.
The first stop will be at the Farga Rossell, between Ordino and La Massana. The Farga Rossell – Iron Interpretation Centre is a former 19th century forge, where we will find out all about the process of the transformation of iron ore.
We then continue on to La Cortinada, where we visit the interior of the Romanesque church of Sant Martí de la Cortinada with its magnificent frescoes. After the visit we go on to La Coma d’Arcalís.
Having reached the summit, at an altitude of 2,300 metres, we will be able to see the Port de Rat (2,539 m), the Port de Creussans (2,622 m) mountain passes and the Pic d’Arcalís mountain peak (2,776 m). In La Coma, we will stop to look around and choose from among the optional activities at Vallnord, such as the Creussans chairlift (open only during the months of the season).
On the journey down we will stop for lunch at a mountain hotel in El Serrat, before continuing on to Massana and Andorra la Vella and Escaldes-Engordany, where the route finishes.
At all times during the trip we will be accompanied by an official tour guide, with a personal audio guide available in four languages (Catalan, Spanish, French and English).
