The Rossell Forge from 1842 was one of the last active forges in Andorra.
It's now a living example of Andorra’s preindustrial heritage. The Rossell forge, a completely restored forge converted into an Iron Interpretation Centre will use an audio-visual to show us how the process of transforming mineral iron into ingots occurs and the importance of metallurgy in Andorra in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. After the tour we will also see the operation of the water driven hammer and how the ingots were formerly produced with the tools of the time.
Services: Guided tour with or without a demonstration of the trip hammer, book in advance. 1 hour. Last tour 1 hour before close. Languages: Catalan, Spanish, French and English. Space adapted for the physically impaired.
The tour of the Rossell Forge is on Andorra Tourist Bus route 3, from June to September.
