The MW museum is located in the FEDA Building (Electrical Forces of Andorra), considered to be a cultural heritage site in Andorra.
It offers us a trip through the history of electricity production in Andorra. The MW Museum is divided into three areas: a scientific area on electricity, another which shows us how electricity came to Andorra in 1934 and how this changed the life of its inhabitants, and a last area with workshops and interactive fun experiments intended mainly for schoolchildren. In the last gallery you will also see the 3 generators of the hydroelectric plant.
Furthermore, as a complementary activity every Saturday (apart from the winter months) the Electricity Museum offers the ‘Camí hidroelèctric d’Engolasters’, a tour of the production of electricity in which you will visit the workings of the Engolasters Lake dam, you will walk on the channels that take the water from the river and you will see the secrets of electricity production.
Services: Tours free with audio guide or with a guide by booking ahead. Tours last 1 hour. Places limited to 25 per tour. Space adapted for the physically impaired.
