The National Auditorium’s music season returns with a new format and an eclectic programme. From January through to June there will be eight musical performances by renowned Andorran and international artists.
28 January. Violinist Ara Malikian presents his new tour, titled “The Incredible Tour of Violin”. The musical genius invites you on a frenetic journey through artists as varied as Bach and Radiohead.
17 February. Macaco takes to the stage with “Comando Sierra Semilla”, a semi-acoustic set incorporating the most popular numbers from his repertoire.
4 March. Sidonie present their new album, “El peor grupo del mundo”, a love-letter from the Barcelona-based band to the musicians and groups they most admire.
7 April. Andorran singer-songwriter David Micó officially unveils his new album, “Original Sato”, at a concert that is sure to be a historic occasion.
4 May. The Jerez-born flamenco singer José Mercé needs no introduction. The legendary artist has added Andorra to the international tour he is to undertake in 2017, with “Doy la cara” forming the backbone of his concerts along with a selection of his greatest hits.
1 June. Jarabe de Palo take to the road again with a fully recovered Pau Donés, who is celebrating his 50th birthday with “50 palos”, the 11th album to be released by the band over the course of their 20-year history.
15 June. The Andorran blues quintet Bluetonics take to the stage of the Auditorium for the first time, accompanied by the harmonica virtuosos Joan Pau Comellas and Víctor Puertas.
22 June. Pianist David Six brings this year’s programme to a close with the concert “Solo piano”, in which he will perform a new piece, specially created for the occasion, titled “Andorra (op. 72)”. David Six is a renowned young pianist, composer and multi-instrumentalist from Austria.
