On 23 April 2014, the date of the 450th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s birth, the Shakespeare’s Globe started a two-year world tour that took them to each and every one of the countries of the world with this production.
Led by its artistic director Dominic Dromgoole, “Globe to Globe Hamlet” is an unprecedented theatre adventure that has already been performed in a large variety of places and stages around the planet.
The small company of actors and technicians has travelled on all kinds of transport by land, sea and air in its great undertaking of reaching its destinations on the seven continents.
