Since its beginnings, the 2900 Alpine Run has been a challenge suitable for expert mountain runners only. This highly selective race, in which participants compete in pairs (with a maximum limit of 25), links the 7 highest peaks of Andorra-all of which have an altitude of more than 2,900 m-, runs an estimated distance of 70 km and has an elevation change of 6,700 m.
Now on its third edition, the organisers -with the aim of rediscovering the spirit with which the race was founded- have introduced different changes: there will be no distance markers throughout the entire trail, nor fixed lines in any area; runners may choose the route they wish to take, with four mandatory waypoints for safety.
The 2900 Alpine Run is so much more than just a mountain race!
Dates: 6 to 8 October 2017. El Cercle, Ordino.
